EXPERTS IN ANTI-CORROSION AND FIRE PROOFING COATINGS

SERVICES

Offshore High Performance Coatings

Offshore platforms are exposed to some of the most corrosive and abrasive environments. We have deep technical expertise in the application of relevant coating systems from industry leading brands, hence, we are also positioned well in advising on suitable coating solutions.

Onshore High Performance, Light & Heavy Industrial Coatings

Onshore steel installations (e.g. gas terminals, power stations, refineries etc) need to be protected from both its ambient environment, as well as chemical and heat exposure. We recommend and apply coating systems that can withstand the highly corrosive elements either stored (e.g. tank lining) or exposed externally to harsh environmental factors.

Marine & Anti-fouling Coatings

Ships are exposed to harsh environmental factors, salt water corrosion, and subaquatic organisms that attack the ship's hull. Similar coatings can be applied to not only dramatically slow down the rate of corrosion, but also abrasion. We can supply and apply anti-fouling technology to address biological fouling on the hull.

Cementitious and Intumescent Fire Proofing

High value assets (e.g. refineries, power stations, airport terminals etc) that have a higher probability of being exposed to hydrocarbon or cellulosic fires, would require industrial grade fire proofing coatings to protect their steel structures. We have expertise in the application of cementitious fire proofing (typically for industrial spaces), and intumescent coatings that are more ascetic in nature (e.g. suitable for airport terminals).

Autoblast & Shop Priming (Myanmar)

According to NACE, the majority of paint failures occur due to poor steel surface preparation. We have a 8-wheel auto blaster located in Yangon (Myanmar), that will ensure thorough blasting coverage, minimising the occurrence of blind spots. We are able to apply primers and coating systems (if necessary) in a "shop" environment, thereby, again promoting ideal ambient conditions to reduce environmental contamination during the paint application process.

ABOUT

Founded in 1977 as Carboline SEA Pte Ltd (Co. Reg. No. 197702196E), originally a JV between Promet and Carboline (St Louis) with annual turnover of USD10m. We provided on-site sales and technical support of protective coatings for construction of offshore platforms. In 1988, the JV was acquired by ET Investment Pte Ltd, and continued to develop markets in Singapore, Brunei, and Malaysia. From 1998, we commenced manufacturing of Carboline paints in Johor (Malaysia), and were ISO9000 certified with the manufacturing of Procrete 241 (a UL certified product). In 2015, Carboline SEA was restructured and renamed Tang Coatings Pte Ltd, providing technical and practical support for the application of protective coatings, servicing the Asia region. Tang Coatings Pte Ltd continues to be well entrenched in serving key customers in Brunei. In 2015, it expanded into Myanmar, and seeks to be a committed partner in the development of Myanmar's strategic infrastructure development, having now setup a JV with Regards Engineering Co. Ltd. (Myanmar),
